The pitch was tilted in favor of the host Hawks (8-3-6/5-2-4 E8). Hartwick held advantages of 20-1 on shots and 9-2 on corners.
Sophomore goalkeeper Hailey Blake (Schenectady, NY/Colonie Central) (4-3-2) kept the Gators in it, stopping 11 Hartwick shots.
The road deadlock, combined with results around the Conference and tiebreakers, put the Gators (5-9-3/3-7-2 E8) on the outside looking in at this year's E8 Championship Tournament.
Gator Bites with Papa John's: The Gators were seeking their fourth-straight appearance in the E8 Championship Tournament…RSC, the 2020-21 E8 champs, had 16 players back from last year's squad…Junior goalkeeper Olivia Horan (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville), senior midfielder Jaclyn Benedetti (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes), and senior forward Gianna Viscusi (Duanesburg, NY/Schalmont) highlighted the returning Gators…Horan commenced the autumn with a 0.95 career goals-against average, a program record, and sat third among RSC keepers with 11 career shutouts…Viscusi set E8 and program single-game records with ten points and four goals in the 6-0 home victory vs. Keuka on October 18…The four goals has now been accomplished eight times by six different Gators…She also scored a hat trick in the E8 win at Elmira on September 24…The senior forward was selected the Conference's Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, October 19…She totaled 12 points on five goals and two assists to help RSC defeat SUNY Poly (10/15) and Keuka (10/18)…The forward concluded her season ranked fifth in the Conference with 19 points...She scored eight goals, good for fourth in the E8, while her three game-winning goals sat tied for third on the circuit…Head Coach Garrett Cobb, now with ten seasons in the books at the helm of the Gators, added 12 newcomers to the program.
