HOUGHTON, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Women's Soccer fell 2-1 to the Highlanders of Houghton on Saturday afternoon in an E8 matinee.
The game stood scoreless through the first 45 minutes, before Houghton (10-4-3/4-4-2 E8) slid a goal across in the second half, which was enough to pick up the conference victory.
The Gators (5-9-2/3-6-1 E8) saw shots on goal from both senior forward Madison Albanese (Goshen, NY/Goshen) and senior midfielder Jaclyn Benedetti (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes).
Sophomore goalkeeper Hailey Blake (Schenectady, NY/Colonie Central) (4-2-1) stopped nine Highlander shots across the afternoon.
The Gators wrap up their regular season next Wednesday at Hartwick.
