ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College attacker Nate Kettle (Killbuck, N.Y./Salamanca) earned a bronze medal at the 2024 Lacrosse Canada Presidents Cup.
Playing for the Allegany Arrows, Kettle, one of the youngest players in the Tournament, registered seven points on two goals and five assists, and four penalty minutes, across six games.
"All together this was an awesome experience to play alongside professional players and family members," said Kettle. "It's something that I will never forget. It's an honor to play for good medicine and the people that can no longer play."
"It's great for Nate to gain valuable international experience and represent Russell Sage College at one of the biggest box lacrosse tournaments in the world," added Head Coach Ryan Lanigan.
Kettle, who established program single-season records for points (66) and goals (43) in 2023, already ranks third in program career records with 111 points and 75 goals. The co-captain, a second-team All-Empire 8 Conference selection for the second-straight spring, made the April 9 USILA D3 Team of the Week and was chosen the E8 Player of the Week on three occasions. Kettle, who registered nine points in a game twice, finished his spring atop the E8 with 4.4 points per-game and sat second in the Conference with 43 goals, 2.87 per-game, and 66 points.
The 2024 Presidents Cup, the National Senior B level box lacrosse championship for the Canadian Lacrosse Association, was held August 25-31 in Delta, British Columbia.
