Brian Cady sits down with former Sage Men's Basketball player, Marcus Patterson
Over the last few months, former RSC basketball announcer Brian Cady has launched a podcast called "The Space Between Your Ears," providing a safe space for him to discuss his personal struggles with mental health, as well as share the stories of other brave souls willing to share their journeys and medical professionals looking to normalize conversations about this "taboo" topic. This new show debuted the first week of May as part of the launch week for the up and coming media company called Gozilla Media, created by former radio personality Tom Goslowski. However, for the episode he recorded on July 21st, Brian decided to take a little bit of a trip back in time.
Brian invited RSC men's basketball alum current overseas professional basketball player Marcus Patterson (class of 2017), during which the two discussed a wide variety of topics such as:
- Marcus' childhood in the Bronx
- The mental health struggles Marcus encountered throughout his playing days at Russell Sage
- How Marcus dealt with a torn ACL
- Marcus becoming a newly outspoken advocate for Mental Health
