DUDLEY, Mass. – Russell Sage College secured a 1-1 non-conference tie at Nichols this afternoon.
The Gators, which outshot Nichols (0-1-2) by a 21-15 margin, knotted the Wednesday matinee in the 67th minute via an own goal.
Sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Horan (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) (0-1-1) made eight saves, while forward Marissa Key (Monroe, NY/Monroe-Woodbury), a grad student, topped all players with eight shot attempts.
Nichols midfielder Grace Killman, a graduate student, opened the scoring in the 39th minute.
Looking ahead, RSC (0-1-1) is back on the pitch on Saturday afternoon against UMass-Boston. Start time is slated for 4:00 pm.
