
Crossman and Walter Make the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Lacrosse Team
ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Women's Lacrosse had two student-athletes: senior midfielder Maddison Walter (South Glens Falls, NY/South Glens Falls) and sophomore defender Alexis Crossman (Corinth, NY/Corinth) make the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Lacrosse Team.
ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College Women's Lacrosse had two student-athletes: senior midfielder Maddison Walter (South Glens Falls, NY/South Glens Falls) and sophomore defender Alexis Crossman (Corinth, NY/Corinth), make the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Lacrosse Team.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Lacrosse Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Walter and Crossman now advance to the to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 8.
Walter finished second on the Gators (3-11/2-7 E8) in scoring with 24 points on 21 goals and three assists. The co-captain registered 41 draw controls, 30 groundballs and 17 caused turnovers this spring.
Her name is littered throughout the program's career record book. Walter closed the season ranked in the top-ten among Gators for points, points per-game, goals, goals per-game, assists, groundballs, groundballs per-game, draw controls and draw controls per-game.
Crossman established program-single season records of 50 caused turnovers and 3.57 caused turnovers per-game in 2025. She topped RSC with 37 points, 31 goals, six assists, 63 draw controls, and 57 groundballs. The sophomore closed the spring with a program career record of 2.52 caused turnovers per-game and ranked second with 73 career caused turnovers.
Gator Bites with Papa John's: Crossman, Walter, and senior defender Angelina Schaefer (Latham, NY/Shaker) were voted co-captains of this year's team…Schaefer concluded the season with 86 career caused turnovers, a program record.
