Locicero Named E8 Player of the Week
ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College senior forward/midfielder John Locicero (Wallkill, NY/Wallkill) was named the Empire 8 Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, September 24.
ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College senior forward/midfielder John Locicero (Wallkill, NY/Wallkill) was named the Empire 8 Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, September 24.
Locicero scored both goals in Saturday's 2-0 E8 victory at Houghton. He tops the Gators with eight points on the fall.
RSC (3-4-1/1-1-0 E8) plays at SUNY Morrisville tomorrow at 6:00 PM.
Notes: The Gators, which have finished in the top half of the E8 Conference standings in three of the last four seasons, made their fourth appearance in the E8 Championship Tournament in 2022…RSC got off to its best-ever start in E8 play at 3-0-0, and established a program single-season record with five E8 victories during the debut campaign of head coach Amir Pasic.
