Sage to sponsor a number of Summer Sports Camps this year!
Albany, NY--The Sage Colleges will be sponsoring a number of summer sports camps this year. The camps include opportunities for girls' and boys' volleyball.

The Sage Colleges women’s volleyball program will hold their 2012 Sage Girls’ Summer Volleyball Camp. The camp will run from July 16-20 in the Neff Athletic Center on the campus of The Sage Colleges (Troy, NY). The camp is open to girls in grades 6-12 and 2012 high school graduates are also eligible. The enrollment is limited to the first 40 registrants.
The Sage Girls’ Volleyball Camp will offer the opportunity to learn and practice the fundamental skills, techniques, and strategies necessary for the game of volleyball. Camp staff will instruct campers in the latest techniques as well as offensive and defensive systems and strategies. There will also be time devoted to scrimmages and game situations.
Head Coach and Camp Director, Sandy Augstein-Collins, brings over 16 years of collegiate head coaching experience to the camp. Prior to coming to The Sage Colleges, Augstein-Collins was the Head Coach at Union College and at Randolph Macon Women’s College. Augstein-Collins also coached for ten years at Bethlehem High School. Our highly qualified staff consists of high school and college coaches and collegiate players. A certified athletic trainer will be on staff during all sessions.
Three air-conditioned courts at the Neff Athletic Center will be home to the event and the cost is $200 per person. Each participant will receive lunch daily as well as a camp t-shirt and a tournament t-shirt.

The camp will run from July 23-27 in the Kahl Campus Center on the campus of The Sage Colleges (Albany, NY). The camp is open to boys in grades 6-12 and 2012 high school graduates are also eligible. The enrollment is limited to the first 50 registrants. The camp will take place from 9 a.m. to noon.

Camp staff will instruct campers in the latest techniques as well as offensive and defensive systems and strategies. There will also be time devoted to scrimmages and game situations.
Sage men’s volleyball head coach and camp director, Jason Wood, brings over 19 years of high school and collegiate head coaching experience to the camp. Prior to coming to The Sage Colleges, Wood coached at Hudson Valley Community College, Bethlehem Central High School, the College of Saint Rose and Union College. Our highly qualified staff consists of high school and college coaches and collegiate players. A certified athletic trainer will be on staff during all sessions.
