Bio

Melissa Spring is a three-time letterwinner for the Gators having played in 45 career games since her arrival on the team in 2011. She started 14 of 15 games played as a junior and tallied a goal and an assist last year. A 13-game starter in 2012, she played in 16 games with one goal and two assists for four points. She has now collected 2 goals and 3 assists on her career.

A 14-game starter as a rookie in 2011, Spring has been an important in the team’s success and brings with her a high level of success this fall for the 2014 Gators.

She is a former stand-out at both Penfield High School and Webster Thomas, where she was a team captain. While at Penfield, her team won the sectionals and the regionals, while finishing third in the state in the Section AAA tournament in 2011.

Spring is also a starter on Sage's women's lacrosse team the past three years. She added two goals and an assist in 2013 as a member of the Sage women’s lacrosse squad that not only set records for most wins in a row, but most wins in a season. Spring helped the 2014 team as she started all 12 games and finished with 3 goals and 2 assists. She is majoring in graphic design at Sage. She is the daughter of Thomas and Amy Spring. Active as a member of Sage’s SAAC, she is very involved in Sage’s community service efforts.
