ALBANY, N.Y. - Russell Sage College Athletics continues its Program Spotlight Series, where former Men's Lacrosse All-American Joe Johnson '25 will sit down with a Student-Athlete from each of our 22 athletic programs.
The second episode features RSC Women's Soccer sophomore forward Anna Shepard (Castleton-on-Hudson, NY/Columbia/Wagner), who chats about the program, her journey with Soccer, and the RSC season so far.

Gator Bites with Papa John's: The Gators are coming off of their third-straight appearance in the Empire 8 Conference Championship Tournament…RSC, the 2020-21 E8 champs, has 16 players back from last year's squad…Junior goalkeeper Olivia Horan (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville), senior midfielder Jaclyn Benedetti (Cohoes, NY/Cohoes), and Gianna Viscusi (Duanesburg, NY/Schalmont) highlight the returning Gators…Horan commenced the autumn with a 0.95 career goals-against average, a program record, and sat third among RSC keepers with 11 career shutouts… Head Coach Garrett Cobb, now in his tenth season at the helm of the Gators, added 12 newcomers to the program..Viscusi had ten points, a program and E8 single-game record, on four goals and two assists in the 6-0 shutout of visiting Keuka on October 18...She became just the sixth Gator to score four goals in a game, also a school and Conference single-game standard...The senior forward was selected the E8 Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, October 19...She tallied five goals and two assists in the 2-0-0 week...Viscusi finished the weekend leading the E8 with 1.58 points per-game...She started the week ranked third in the Conference with 19 points and eight goals, while her three game-winning goals sat second on the circuit.
