ALBANY, N.Y. – Russell Sage College senior guard Sammy Pasinella (Mechanicville, NY/Mechanicville) was named the Empire 8 Conference Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, January 23.

Pasinella averaged 18.3 points across three games last week. The senior guard made 40.5 percent of her field goals, including 42.9 percent of her three-pointers. She scored a season-high 29 points on 9-of-15 shooting on Tuesday vs. Utica. Pasinella tied a program record with eight made three-pointers vs. the Pioneers.

The Gators (8-8/4-3 E8), winners of four of their past five games, play at Hartwick on Tuesday. The E8 game is set for a 5:30 pm start.
